I especially love people calling for "a Marshall Plan" for Afghanistan and Iraq. Yup, postwar France and Germany, postwar Afghanistan and Iraq, same-same. It helps if you see the entire world as populated by Consumers, who only need a Big Mac and a bucket of KFC to turn them into Americans. Culture? History? Bunk, all of it.
