I'm an altar avoider, too.

One time I was lamenting to my husband that I had all these beautiful, smart, funny women friends and they all seemed to marry assholes. My husband looks up from his paper and sez, "The assholes get all the girls, its true, think of all the assholes you dated." I think I mumbled something like, "Yeah and then I married one." <VBG> I like to kid him.

Its not so bad being married, beats the hell out of blind dates when you are 50, which is what some of my single friends are doing.
