One of the guys that I saw talking about oil on CNBC last week was Matt Simmons. Mr. Simmons is an investment banker for the O&G industry and presents one of the most compelling, rational and cogent cases for the imminent onset of peak oil that I have heard yet. If you are not familiar with his work, I would highly recommend taking some time to watch the videos at this site: peakoil.net When people try to take him to task for his views, he simply says "show me your numbers". His numbers indicate that Hubbert's Peak is very real and on schedule.
