Craig, The folks at Long Term Capital thought they were minimizing risk and maximizing reward. Then things broke bad. The trading desks can actually make a completely balanced trade, with no potential for gain (except commissions) and no risk. Don't ask me how they do it, it would probably take me a week to figure out what they can execute in two minutes. John
