You are probably wrong about QoS issues pushing convergence out into the distant future. QoS will evaporate when folks discover just how bandwidth solves ALL QoS "concerns". QoS is nothing more than incumbents attempting to retain their clientele by tripping them up in antiquated architectures and accompanying legacy systems.

In fact, both the Department of Defense and NASA are looking at trashing their existing “Bellhead” architectures for new “nethead thinking”. Which brings me to why I am posting to begin with . . . The link below is to a GOVERNMENT sponsored report (independently researched) that details the two sides (Bandwidth = Netheads, QoS = Bellheads) of this debate.

The report clearly shows that the folks under the QoS umbrella have no clothes.
