From following BTT for years, it's my understanding that the ideas on the lists are selected one at a time based on several criteria. When a stock fails to meet certain standards, it is removed from a list. So far, the ideas that remain on the lists still have advantages over their competition. That has not changed. Because of the current market environment, most of the BTT selections are experiencing price declines. If the market direction improves, many of them will rocket to the upside compared to their peers. I'm speculating here, and don't want to speak for BTT, but since BTT has been in the market for decades and seen it all, I'd imagine that the ideas which are still far above the list price are viable, and an unknown number of ideas could appreciate greatly from here. So removing many symbols from the lists might be premature.

I think Buffett said something like the stock market is a machine that rewards the patient over the impatient. Since BTT is the best stockpicker I've ever seen by far, I tend to trust his judgment. He has given good guidelines as to when to sell (e.g. when a stock falls below its 50 DMA) and has also recently written several times that cash is king.
