We have posted about the very, very preliminary research that might suggest correlations between political ideology and other behaviors. But it's still so tenuous that no responsible academic would base broad conclusions on it.

Actually, there has long been a cottage industry in some sectors of academia that pushes such work. But any close examination always revealed it was simply a way to label political positions which were out of favor or considered dangerous by whomsoever. And much if not all the evidence was anecdotal.

As for serious work, as you may know, it's extremely difficult to find good measures of "conservative" or "liberal" or "left" or "right." They are much too broad for careful work and, frankly, in many cases, too fleeting. People switch labels, views, political positions through life. So connecting presumably enduringly consequential early life experiences to fleeting political views is not worth the proverbial effort.
