hypothetical scenario, I have an EV in a cold climate, I'm driving in a snow storm and I get stuck, stranded and my battery goes dead, some one comes along in a gas driven vehicle, they have gas cans but they are of no use to me. I may be saved but my car is stuck, even if my car is pulled out I am going nowhere in it, If I'm towed back to a charging station it could cost hundreds of dollars. If I had a gas driven vehicle I would be on my way again
