To All:

IMHO it is possible that 3Com is near or at a bottom.

I have gone through almost all the analysts work and the company's conferences when COMS announced the earnings shortfall.

Apparently INTC's aggressive price cuts are not aimed at dominating the adapter card market but more for their own reasons. INTC is attempting to simply force the technology curve to the next generation of adapter cards(similar to discounting 486 chips in order to sell more and move everyone to pentium chips). If the community moves to the next generation adapter cards at a quicker pace COMS will make $$ through higher margin product and INTC makes money by the increased processor needs of these products.

I also believe that INTC has been in and out of the adapter market before and generally 3Com is considered to have a better product.

Feel free to comment.
