There may be some out here capable of hating entire nations, GST, but i wonder if they matter much .... most i know have concerns with certain policies of the US and Israel, that's a fact .... concerns with dictators like Hussein too, and the lack of human rights in a lot of places, and with religious whackos in general, including but not limited to those who strap explosives to themselves or others ..... so it doesn't stop or start with Israel or the US ... here of course we are largely speaking with US nationals, many of whom rah-rah policies we consider abhorrent, and Nadine is so concentrated on the zionist line, this makes for reaction that sounds pretty negative, sure, well that's a result of normal adversary-type thread dynamics, given who's involved

I stayed up a bit to see if there was anything coming in on Venezuela, nothing yet .... there was a record turnout, and they kept the polls open eight hours later than planned ..... at least [almost] no bullets are flying, it appears to be an exercise in democracy, both sides say they'll abide by the result ..... best case scenario imho, is that the Sís take it, there's a new presidential election, and there comes to power some reasonable and effective leader from the Ni-Nis, somebody capable of healing deep division

[edit] - in re #reply-20415231 - interesting .... and, to be expected, eh .... yeah, the more i see of Bush the better i like my dog, lol ..... one thing that is amazing, is the lack of discussion of the huge budget deficits that Bush is financing all this on ..... which may sound like economics, but those deficits are large enough, and paper on them held widely enough, that they will have effect on foreign affairs ..... there are all those US dollars out there, if folks lose confidence in them they'll start coming home, and poof there goes that wonderful seigneurage advantage you've enjoyed all these years
