C2, Re: Coordinated attacks and Qualcomm’s response-

Appreciate your response... “. Formal guidance is the best thing to watch, IMO, along with the comments of the knowledgeable.”

Along that line, In some (a few??) cases the “analyst” community is closer to / has privy to some of the detail than we (as interested amateurs) don’t. It’s interesting reading some of their reports on both NOK and QCOM, and will no doubt get even more interesting as this drags on/ heats up even more. Some firms have ratings on both companies, and some of these same firms have different analysts (U.S. vs Euro) covering each (each with a different “perspective”).

These analysts have a stake in this battle as well, some with $60+ QCOM targets with the price plummeting ~25%. So far, by my count 9 analyst have either upgraded or reaffirmed their QCOM targets, with only one issuing a downgrade.

Interesting also, so far the downgrade has gotten the most attention in the press with little mention of the overwhelming support from the 9 other analysts.

As the misstatements from the GSM camp escalate (prime example below) perhaps putting even more pressure on QCOM, one would think some in the analyst community might have reason to come to Qualcomm’s aid in the press, and perhaps may even need to challenge their own firm’s analyst covering NOK.

Interesting times indeed.
