The point I wanted to share was the changing nature of the subject of copyright. Copyright protects the medium of information exchange, not the information itself. You can't copyright ideas, only the expression of the ideas. The dilemma we're facing is electronic information requires no "tangible" medium for exchange - hence "selling wine without bottles". It's a sticky dilemma.
