Miraje, I just thought of something. The eco-zealots love to make the analogy between the transition to EVs and the transition from horse-and-carriage to the first cars. If that's the case, then let's ask people who rented EVs and see how much better their driving experience was over a rented ICE vehicle. Were the EVs much faster than the ICE vehicle like the first cars were compared to horses? Nope. Were the EVs more convenient to operate vs. ICE vehicles, like the first cars were compared to horses that could be temperamental at times? Nope. Did the EVs save on energy costs vs. the gas costs of ICE vehicles? Maybe, but not enough to make up for the additional rental expense. Were the EVs easier to recharge compared with the refilling of ICE gas tanks? Definitely not. How about the range? Give me a break; EVs have worse ranges than ICE vehicles. No matter what, there isn't a revolutionary jump in performance, economy, or convenience when driving an EV. It's a completely forced transition based on the public's perception of ICEs "destroying the environment." Tenchusatsu
