DJ: Good news! We need you to invest those D-Mark/Euro savings in our excellent "backed with the full faith and credit etc." US Government bonds and US equities. We need your D-Mark/Euros so that we can buy more of your excellent Daimler-Chrysler, BMW and Audi automobiles. Oh by the way, it's time that D-C divested Chrysler. 10 cents on the dollar sounds about right. :) (Disclaimer - all in fun. This is a weird game we're engaged in where the world saves so that the US can consume).
