Eric, I don't think you understand what "too big to fail" means.

Tesla was never too big to fail.

GM and Chrysler were. (Ford almost was, but they rejected bailout money back in 2008.)

If you want to see a company stumble and fall (other than those associated with the space program or the military industrial complex), make them too big to fail.
