Derek,

"Again, why stop at browser's? I know I sound like a broken record (scratched CD?) but why doesn't MSFT destroy Corel and Lotus by offering Office '97 for free? Once they're (the enemy) out of the office suite business MSFT can charge whatever they want."

Apparently, you are not up on the new definition of "integral software". If a product has less than 80% market-share it is naturally defined as an OS-extension rather than a separate product. Although a bit of a dilemna exists when one applies this to the early Windows versions which were sold as an application program separate from the OS. Always thought GUI's were an integral part of an operating system along with compiler's and such. Once again Microsoft shows inconsistency rather than uniformity. Perhaps they have too many spiders spinning on their web of marketing lies these days.

Take it easy,

Norm
