You don't get it. You have a choice. You chould look at reality and choose between optimism and pessimisim or anything in between. It is your choice. If you are really smart, you could probably make out either way.

The same with good or evil. You have the choice to choose or not to choose.

But, if you were really a pragmatist and made the rational choice - it would be tough for you to choose to be on the side of evil. Evil inevitably destroys itself. You don't have much of a chance.

The vast majority of mankind are smart enough to choose good over evil. But, in a way you are right - just because you choose to be on the side of good over evil does not necessarily mean that you will be rewarded. It's a little bit more complicated than that. As Bill Clinton might say, "it all depends on what you define good to be".

That may be, but the choice is clear.
