You are correct on that one.

Every time our politicians come up with these ideas, it always seems like they are out to crush the people they are supposed to be working for.

Many of us saw it all coming in the 1990's.

And it was deliberate. No doubt about it.

<< Then in the 1990's I remember helping technicians ship used Perkin Elmer 140's optical aligners to China. (good for circa 10 micron geometries and avove) It was highly unusual because normally the company would scrap used equipment to make sure a competitor could not use it. The technicians were mostly from the almost extinct UK ship building business, so they were not impressed at all. 20 years before, the Ship building business had started exporting to Japan. Thence to South Korea, and then to China.>>
