The Bush administration is considering two element for a tax relief stimulus package, a capital gains tax cut, and an investment tax credit.

IMHO, an investment tax credit could be very good for Intel's business, and would probably give an immediate boost to the stock price. On the other hand (again in my humble opinion) a cap gains tax cut might actually hurt the stock short term, though long term it is a net positive for all equities.

I'm going to send an email to my congressman with my support of an investment tax credit over a cap gains tax cut. If anyone would like to send their opinion, the email addresses for congress are at this link:
