I agree. AOL's possesion is its content. Subscribers may leave
it now. But they will come back in 6 months. How difficult it is
to switch from one one-line server to another?!

But,someone reports the content providers are also worried about
the current AOL problem. That is where the risk is.

The reference to independant access by third party intrigues me?

This is the sole reason I expect AOL to rise from the ashes long-term. I definitely expect the stock
price to be in the 20s in the short-term, and AOL to come out of this no longer being in their current
leadership position in regards to being an access provider.

IMHO, AOL will end up being a destination, rather than an on-ramp. And they'll be the most popular
destination. For their sake, I hope they're spending a LOT more on their backbone connection than
they are on the incoming POTS lines.

For my part, I intend to load up on puts as they become cheaper, then move into long-term calls in a
few months.
