gongoman, sorry to hear you're not doing well in this market. "...it has been a losing proposition since March for me. Now my focus is on preserving capital at all costs." Sounds like a good plan. If you're not comfortable trading this market both long and short and doing it quickly, it can be frustrating. Although I did some position (maybe swing is the better word) trading this last week, I think the easy money is in trading with the current trend - that hasn't been difficult if you don't mind shorting. But a lot of people who only go long have been bitten badly trying to time the bottom - and the question still remains, have we seen the bottom? IowaMan and Abbey seem to think we've been there and it's all up from here. I'm not in that camp yet. This year is not a cookie cutter of previous years. We've seen extreme highs and total retracements. We've seen the nets come and go... some have gone for good. What will be the next momo sector that everyone hitches their wagon to?
