I would have guessed earlier, 40s or before, judging from your posts on the old Kahuna thread and now on CFZ et al ... a wisdom beyond your years, you never got caught up in that greater-fool mania ..... in the 60s i was old enough to get draughted into machine-gunning indochinese peasants if i'd happened to be on the wrong side of a certain line, and it was a time for real things like metals, copper for the brass of shell casings being what sticks most in mind ... then gold a very few years later, with all its juniors and its own evermore absurd mania .... i remember being told to buy Xerox because it only went up -g- ... all of those, Johnson & Johnson, IBM ... gee i forget the names now .... whatever happened to US Leather? [no, don't remember it, just read about it, it was in the Dow about eighty years ago, the quintessential buggy whip manufacturer if memory serves]
