As the manager of technical support in a large telecommunications company I have to point out that your warning while well intended may not be in the best interest of those your intending to help.
Think of it this way, If you were a writer of viruses the quickest way to spread your virus would be to send out a "VIRUS WARNING!!!!" with a virus attached.
If you get a virus alert or for that matter any E-Mail that you specifically did not
request or know the originator, trash it. Why take chances?
Over cautious? Yes! My first virus experience 15 years ago almost cost the state of Texas 500,000,000 U.S. dollars in revenue. Lucky me I've always been a little paranoid and had backups to save both the money and my a**!
Now for a special treat, about a year ago there was a virus that would go into an e-mail programs address list and send copies of itself to everyone you've
ever sent a message to with the title "YOUVE GOT TO READ THIS..." The antivirus software companies caught this before it got too popular. I'm probably preaching to the choir on this, but I know that not all of my investor friends are techno geeks like me.
