O/T & FYI: ".....Such a deal.....................

I just snagged a pair of premium APC 1000va UPS's (..rated: 670 watts at .7 power factor; aka: 900+ watts for [.9] typically high power factor loads..) for a lousy $150 for both of them plus ground shipping from DFW, TX - about $220 total.
powerfactorinc.com

These SOB's are $500+ each retail, and will power your whole PC set up for hours while the power is down. They also have free software available so your system will shut down properly if the batteries ever go low. Heck, I'm going to use one in the living room for my console TV, VCR, DVD set up so I don't miss the Simpsons during a storm. These UPS's also have terrific filtering to protect all your electronics from line brownouts, substation switching spikes, or lightening surges, etc.

They have a cheaper pair that would do just as good for most people: powerfactorinc.com I just happened to already have one APC-1000, so I wanted to keep everything the same. Here's another steal, if you only want a single unit: cgi.ebay.com

eBay is outrageous if you are reasonably patient and do good DD.

John :-)
