(NASDAQ: ADBL chart, msgs) announced today that SONICblue's(TM) (NASDAQ: SBLU chart, msgs) new 20GB Rio Riot portable will be able to play Audible.com's secure audio formats shortly after the device becomes available in Spring 2002.

Rio Riot is the first portable audio player with multiple gigabytes of memory that will be able to play audio files downloaded from www.audible.com(R). The Rio Riot is field upgradeable, meaning that users who already have a player will be able to load free software from Audible and SONICblue to make their players AudibleReady(TM).
