Americans have affinities for other democracies and those nations trying to become such. I think thats a good thing and should continue. Being a realist in foreign affairs does not preclude the fact that there has never been a war between two democracis so making the world safe for democracys and making democracies safe against aggression should be core to the realist creed. mike
