That's why I mentioned it. My HS buddy is a Physician, a pretty smart guy. He recently moved back east, and during his move he's experiences more than his share of disasters. Large losses from stuff stolen from moving vans. Troubles getting his utilities turned on. Hurricane Sandy.

And to top it off a phone problem. That has to hurt badly, particularly this line which is sort of buried in his discription:

"Motorola said they'd fix it, sent me to a warranty shop over 2 hours away, that hasn't been a Motorola Warranty shop for years. This led to a really gorgeous drive across the state"

So they sent him to a warranty shop over 120 miles away and he drove there only to find out its been out of business for years.

I think I'd be just a LITTLE PO'd about loosing 4 hours of my time and the better part of a tank of gas and depreciation on my car only to find out there is no warranty shop at the address they gave me AFTER giving me the phone runaround. I just wonder what 4 hours of his time is worth?

This is why people buy Apple products. Time is money. Buying cheap tools is false economy.

Of course I didn't say "You should have bought an iPhone" to him. Rubbing it in won't help. In any case if he hasn't learned his lesson that's his problem really.

What is it with this line break problem on SI? Impossible to fix?
