Allocated I think you mean. I think that almost every product that Apple has produced has sold out initially of its original allocation before it was available. The iPad mini is no exception to the rule.

There are some people who think that NOT selling out is a better idea I guess.

And since Cook is widely recognized as a supply chain genius?... I would guess Apple has sold as many as the world is capable of making.

Face it, you were wrong when you said it wouldn't sell at $329. And you are going to be wrong about massive cannibalization. I wasn't sure of that at first but there is increasing evidence its both a hit and there will not be massive cannibalization. There will be some but not as many as you are... hoping. In fact the mini iPad will make Apple an even stronger more profitable company. On this one Jobs was wrong.
