If Microsoft were nice... news.com

This is a humorous piece, just one quote for the road:

The advent of the Microsoft-as-good-guy era wreaked havoc far beyond Silicon Valley. In Washington, D.C., antitrust chief Joel Klein dropped the case against Microsoft.

"In this new high-tech era, antitrust law has very little applicability, especially when applied to a company that, like Microsoft, has a demonstrated history of fair-handed dealings with customers and partners. Those competitors trying to get Washington to intervene are just a bunch of whiners," the government's lawyer said. "Let the market decide."

Cheers, Dan.
