John, I had just changed churches 1981. They told me that it was what God wanted every beliver to have. Since I had had 21 yrs of being a christian with no power I was ready for anything. saved when i was 3 yrs old didn't have any negatives against ...so that helped. They didn't do anything... they jsut said raise your hands and ask God for the Baptism... That's the way the church I went to in houston did it. Just like Peter and John...God does it that them. That God I was in the best church in American for 13 yrs But, I didn't pray in tongues. driving home I asked God why....?? He said that I was too reserved and wouldn't let the Holy Spirit have may tongue.... Anyway... I told God that I have a big presentation in front of the president and VP's tomorrow at work and I DON"T CARE. I want to pray in tongues even if it is right in the meeting. Well, God knew I meant it because He read my heart. So, that night in bed a fire came again and tongues hit I prayed in tongues all night. I now pray in tongues hours and hrs... in english too. If you told me that I was lose this power I would say go ahead and take the rest of me becasue the christian life w/o this power is nothing...I will never go back. what about YOU???
