As for the Fixed Access Unit, both ERICY and QCOM are making an outdoor interface which allows regular phones to be connected to the Globalstar system. Basically, the FAU is to the phone as the DBS dish is to the television. As for ERICY's performance in this regard, who knows!? BTW, it surely would be nice to know if any of this fixed stuff actually exists, especially since Zahler said the first fixed units would be deployed in FEBRUARY!
