Rude sexist comments cross the line when it causes censorship of women.

When I looked at your University link, they defined Political Correctness as something which means you can't intentionally harass and hurt someone.

For example, if a male teacher repeatedly told one of his female students that she looks just like Clinton's "Monica" and did this over and over again, one could imagine the impact to this female student's ability to get questions answered that are relevant to the class.

Political correctness as defined there, sounded like common sense. Unfortunately, it only takes a few bad apples to force a definition as basic as this onto all of us.
