PC is just a catch all phrase for the collection of certain agendas promoted by certain groups in order to gain some type of favor. Sometimes it's "catching up" but often it's an agenda of wanting special favors/money etc. and goes far beyond any leveling of the playing field.

Not quite Jimbo. For something to qualify as being "politically correct", there must be a penalty for not joining in. Pressure is applied against those who don't conform. Those of us old enough to remember the 60s experienced the pressure to conform to non-conformity. The ultimate irony.
