Outsiders Jump Into Microsoft-DOJ Feud techweb.com

Another group, the American Computer Scientists Association (ACSA), earlier tried to file a brief in support of Microsoft but was rejected by the court. ACSA spokesman John Black said that his nonprofit organization sought to file an untraditional "pro bono brief on behalf of the public," arguing that Janet Reno and the Department of Justice had "sold out to financial interests," such as Sun Microsystems and Netscape, in pursuing the antitrust action. But the group's efforts were returned by the court clerk's office because the ACSA is not a party to the case.
