>>Arafat could not or would not control Hamas and now his organization is working with Hamas on terrorist attacks.

>Tim, first of all, the above is pure speculation on your part unless you have links that agree with your premises unequivocably.

A couple of days ago, Tench posted the following link to the New York Times:

nytimes.com

It included this quote:

"What's more, Hamas believes that the Palestinian Authority has given up on negotiating with Israel, negotiations that Hamas virulently opposed. That has led to a budding alliance between Hamas and Fatah, the organization headed by Yasir Arafat, the Palestinian leader, despite years of bitter and sometimes violent feuding."

>Secondly, you think its a disagreement? Bush told Israeli to pull back. Sharon flipped him the bird.......nicely. I think that's a little more than a disagreement.

He didn't flip him the bird. Shimon Peres, an extreme dove, said that the Bush administration gave Israel a few days to pull out. Today, of course, things changed- a suicide bomber ambushed a number of Israeli soldiers and killed 13 of them... Israel may not pull out so quickly after all. Sounds good to me, as I don't think they should pull out until the operation is over.
