Foreigners have had damn interersts on China for many many years. For centuries, the Chinese citizens had lived there and disarmed by constant turmoils and wars internally. I think most of the Chinese citizens enjoyed more on art works than much of the foreign affairs. Until the Communists took power in the late 40s, the Communist Chinese began to realize they were vulnerable, and learnt lots of tactics in warfare. Nowadays, I still think lots of ordinary Chinese citizens like the traditional art works and cultural exchange, rather than political gains. Most of them I know of don't like rich people much. They are so naive and just want to be happy with what they have.
