In 2000 President Bush 43 managed to keep Al Gore from stealing the election. Al Gore disenfranchised thousands of military voters. Irregularities from the democrat controlled Voters News Service resulted in an estimated 50,000 votes that were not placed in the panhandle of Florida after VNS prematurely called the state for Algore. It is estimated that the vote margin in the panhandle that was lost would have benefitted President Bush by over 5,000 votes. Democrats in Florida may have disenfranchised additional voters by poorly designing butterfly ballots in counties they controlled.
