I don't think it matters much what he said if it could have even been vaguely interpreted as a threat. For example, I was on a flight from Baltimore to SF about 15 years ago and a woman decided to tell the flight attendant that she had a fight with her boy friend the night before, during the course of which he said, "I hope your plane blows up tomorrow" or something similar.
We dumped fuel, landed in Columbus, deboarded out in the middle of the field, rode busses in to the terminal, and a few hours later got back on the same plane after it had been checked. The woman, an Australian, was hauled off by the police.
Seemed like an over-reaction at the time. I guess it would take even less now-a-days.
Boy, and talk about being non-PC, this Iranian guy is clearly a total idiot.
