Bill,
No, I don't. These witch hunts are political activities which result in selective prosecution.
Then what's the point of due process, then?

Everything from 4th and 5th amendment protections, to equal protection under the 14th amendment, and pretty much every single amendment under the Bill of Rights, was written to protect individuals from an overzealous government.

That includes protection from prosecutors who engage in "witch hunts" or otherwise politically-motivated prosecutions.

We have already seen an example of that in the case of Kyle Rittenhouse, where the ADA risked prosecutorial misconduct in order to "win" a conviction so that he could look good in front of a woke mob. Thank God the judge in this case was a firm believer in due process and applying basic constitutional protections to the defendant.

Without due process, all of the protections listed in the Constitution are nothing more than "guidelines."

Without due process, I could indeed be arrested, tried, and convicted of "bogus charges" in South Bronx or Oakland, simply because I'm an Asian-American Ivy League educated conservatives.

Without due process, witch hunts would succeed much more often than not.

Thank God for due process.
