Eric,
Keep driving your ICE. It's unsustainable.
Nothing is truly "sustainable." Even EVs have parts that wear out, etc.

And even solar panels eventually wear out.

Wind turbines also wear out over time.

We have to keep producing solar panels, wind turbines, etc. in order to replace those that wear out, and the materials needed to replace them aren't infinite.

Then there's the electrical grid that wears out over time.

Here in California, PG&E has a very old infrastructure that will take time to upgrade. Kind of st00pid to have to put up with blackouts during wildfire season anytime the wind is more than 10 MPH, just because PG&E doesn't want to be held liable (again).

And then on top of these upgrades, the whole state of California will have to massively scale up our electricity production as well as the transmission grid just to power an all-EV future.

We're about 11 years away from Newsom's 2035 EV mandate. Can it be done? LOL, California can't even build a high-speed rail line through wide open farmland over 11 years.

Darn that logistics thingy ...
