I am proud to say that despite all my anger directed towards the tech industry in CA and their disrespect for the labor pool and the consumer driven economy- on this taxation issue they are RIGHT. The tech companies want to drop proposition 13, first for business and second for homeowners, and the net effect of that will be plenty of real estate available for new homebuyers in desirable areas like SV. Local schools will improve which are pathetic structures suffering from years of neglect too. The older generation in the US has to start paying their own way for a change if you ask me. I'm sure you are younger than me btw.
