Hmmm. Thanks David,

I didn't know about the 30 day wash sale rule. It amazes me that I don't know sometimes. I thought I took my loss on COMS when I jumped out for a few days a 39 1/2. Since I don't know if this loss will be offset by gain this year, I suppose I would be wise to stay with COMS until 30 days before the deal closes.

For the amount of money I have invested, the spread would pay for a lot of commisions

On another subject, can someone clue me in on how to embed HTML into these messages.
