I think the 3M profit warning today will mark the start for the real decline in the Dow. I expect it to be at least 25% lower by the end of October. It amazes me that people are now completely ignoring profit warnings. 3M and Micron both have higher price tags, despite the profit warnings. I increased my short position on Micron again today. Money will start to flow out of the stock market as people hear more horror stories about how people are in deep debt because of stocks and stock options. Even though I've never shorted anything until recently, it looks like more almost guaranteed short-sell categories will be coming next year. Too bad I didn't start shorting with the internet companies.
