My Post Office is the Augean Stables, and every night 1,000 horses deposit mail. Each morning we howl "I give up! The mail wins!" but it does no good, the mail is relentless in administering its crushing defeat. The best part is that not only are we buried in mind-numblingly boring work, but that we aren't paid much to do it. The smart ones are likely mad before they ever apply for the job, and are drawn to the work through some inexplicable and mysterious force of nature. Many are surely there so that they will spend fewer years in Purgatory. Me, I have no education, no skills, and little talent, so I am ideally suited to the job. Except that I have been knocking over mail boxes lately, and my bosses are Not Pleased.
