5% royalty is cheap, not expensive. GSM, which wastes bandwidth by the kilogram, costs 15% for use of patents. Q! and Spinco between them will charge only the boring old, cheap, bordering on giveaway bundled rate of 5% or so.

For that 5%, subscribers get huge data rates, perfect voice, WWeb access, low costs, plus the usuals like fewer dropped calls.

W-CDMA might never happen! I still don't understand why anybody would choose it [other than the absurd idea of making it different for the sake of being different which is as fatal as the Japanese creating artificial home technologies which nobody else adopted and which are fizzling out in Japan].

<Kyocera Communication Systems Co Ltd (KCCS), owned 77 percent by Kyocera and 23 percent by DDI Corp> and people thought DDI/IDO might not go with cdma2000. Haahaahaha!!! It's just as funny that the Koreans are still pretending that they will abandon the technology that they have got a huge tight grip on with vast export potential in favour of the VaporWear version.

PS: How about that Carmmunicator? I like the sound of that one. Ruffian, you are impressive with your finding these things.
