>Z, but Israelis have continued to settle in the occupied territories during the 90's.

On their own, without government sanction.

>Sorry PA, not PLO.....I need to read the Oslo agreement. It seems to me that if the West Bank is to become the Palestinian nation, the PA should have control over how the land is developed. I know the Palestinians have not been the poster child for good behavior but to restrict them this way treats them as if they were no more than children. How can you expect people to be responsible when they are treated as if they are incapable of being responsible?

It's called "baby steps", Ted. You can't take a group of terrorists and just hand them a state.

>I mean we have our own experience of that here in the US when black men were referred to as boys and black women were considered to be available sexually to white men at their whim. The result was generations of 'castrated' black males.

That's a bad analogy... were the black males hijacking planes and blowing up civilians?

>I realize I am oversimplifying the situation but it seems to me that the Israelis can't be all good and the Palestinians all bad.

I never said that the Israelis are all good or the Palestinians are all bad. I'm just saying that the Israeli agenda is good and the Palestinian agenda is bad!
