What I think is that the economic condition will deteriorate a lot more in the US and in the countries that gravitate around the US (Canada and Mexico) than it will in Ecuador, simply because we are starting from a much higher level. What this implies I am not sure. I was reading a piece recently that suggest major riots are coming in this part of the world and million will eventually be marching on washington. Fantasy? Maybe? As for your PF rising in the future, yes it can depending on the what you own. I don't think the US will confiscate gold, but it is clearly a possibility.
