What Could We Have Done With 200-Billion Dollars? Reviewing alternatives to the Iraqi blunder:

We could have reduced the national debt by at least that much, probably more.
We could have instituted national health insurance for every American who cannot now afford health insurance.
We could have made major headway into developing alternative forms of energy, and in developing much more efficient transportation systems.
We could have set up an effective security program to stop the thousands of illegals entering our country every day.

Furthermore, we could have accomplished several combinations of the above constructive alternatives, more than 1800 American servicemen and women would still be alive and serving their country today, another 12,000 not hospitalized or disabled. And America would be much further along in its inevitable quest for true energy independence, avoidance of which was a core cause of the Iraq blunder in the first place.
And we might still have the respect and cooperation of the majority of nations in the world, a key benefit in our efforts to defend ourselves against Islamic terrorists.
Who would have been the major losers, had we failed to spend 200 billion dollars on the fraudulent war on Iraq? The major defense contractors, the armaments makers, the pentagon suppliers and al Queda, deprived of the mother lode of recruting tools.
