One factor that contributed to the end of Cold War is the lines of communication that remained open between the U.S.S.R. and the US.

The key to winning anything is to keep the lines of communication open. This President does not believe in this and hence turns the once welcoming Iraqis into our enemies.

Consider the case of Communist China before we established our lines of communication with them during the Nixon era. So the Bush doctrine is a bunch of balloney. We need a leader/statesman.
