i think the (and i'm puking to even use the word for them) palestinian leadership and the influence of the religion is much to blame for the lack of real hope...the potential peace settlement offerings that have been there in the past, does the average palestinian hear about it ? can they comment on it ? or does the leadership trash talk them...perhaps the average palestinian would take what the israelis have in the past offered and try to make a go of things...why won't their "leadership" go along ? people can be influenced to do and think some pretty terrible things, it is called brainwashing...i don't think the "leadership" gets their sons to blow themselves up, they just trash talk others into it...their own families lives are not going to be sacrificed... ps, what do you think would happen if every israeli just walked away from israel and said, okay, Yassar, you can have it all to do what you like...how would life be for the palestinian people then ? i'd bet it'd be either a totally corrupt entity or turn into some sort of command type state...what would life be like for the Arab Christians in the region ? what would life be like for the Jordanians...would the militants then set their sites on Jordan and claim that that TOO is Palestine ? i'd bet on that one...i'd also bet that the innocent Arab students were hopeful that an education would make for a better life and they were getting an education until some creep who should be on THEIR side blew them up and took their lives away...
